Melanie Morris is the Vice President of Home Health for Advanced Home Care, a not-for-profit, health system affiliated, multi-service organization located in five southeastern states. With 15 home health locations generating $80M in annual revenue, Melanie is responsible for leadership of all home health clinical programming, clinical and financial performance, population health, compliance, patient experience, and workforce development.
She has the experience of working with branches that vary widely in size, as well as in urban and rural geographies, thus understanding the complexity of operational and financial issues they face. With multiple locations, Melanie has experience with centralized support functions as well as use of technology to maintain operational consistency and improve financial performance. Melanie and her team regularly collaborate with affiliated health systems and community partners on clinical protocols, integration initiatives, and post-acute network development between providers.
She regularly interacts with Advanced Home Care’s Board of Directors, so that board members can serve as advocates for the organization’s success. Melanie values the $26M in community benefit provided annually by Advanced Home Care and is passionate about the value of nonprofit organizations in the healthcare continuum. Most of Melanie’s nursing career has been in home-based settings, including hospice, personal care, waiver programs, and her first love, home health. Melanie serves on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Home and Hospice Care and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
