CHAP is a not-for-profit accreditation organization for home and community-based health care providers with more than 7000 accredited locations nationwide. For more than 50 years and counting, CHAP has accredited a variety of organizations that make high-quality care a programmatic and business priority. Through "deeming authority" granted by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CHAP has the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health, hospice, pharmacy and home medical equipment to ensure that they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoP) and CMS Quality Standards.
