Marki Flannery began her career in home health care in 1980. She joined Visiting Nurse Service of New York in 1982 and then began a 32 year career at Partners in Care, an affiliate of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, at its inception in 1983. Marki was appointed President in 1996 and remained in that role until early 2015. Under her guidance, Partners in Care has become the largest Licensed Home Care Agency in the greater New York City area expanding staffing, service geography and growth in varying product lines. Marki then returned to Visiting Nurse Service of New York in January 2015 in the role of Executive Vice President and Chief of Provider Operations.
In her current role, Marki is responsible for VNSNY Homecare, the Certified Home Health Agency; VNSNY Hospice and Palliative Care Services; Partners in Care, the Licensed Home Care Services Agency; all Community Mental Health and Children/Family grant programs, Health Home Services, Sales, Marketing and Communications, Volunteer services, Strategy, Quality and support services.
Marki has participated in numerous television, radio and newspaper interviews and has been a presenter at statewide and national conferences. She has been published in home care journals, has served in a leadership capacity in industry associations and has a featured blog on the Huffington Post. She is the recipient of the VNAA 2014 Administrative Leader of the Year Award. Marki holds Bachelor and Masters degrees from New York University.
