Why You Should Attend PPLC 2016

As leaders, we are required to be strategically aware of all of the forces impacting our markets -- whether regulatory, economic or political in nature. Maintaining the ability to keep a 30,000-foot focus and the ability to assess the granular details simultaneously are necessary as we're hit with a barrage of regulatory, administrative and market opportunities and challenges.

The VNAA 2016 Public Policy Leadership Conference (PPLC) provides a venue to network with fellow home-based care providers and discuss the policy issues facing the home health, hospice and palliative care industry. This executive-level event gathers home health, hospice and palliative care providers for training and education on important post-acute care policy and provides an insider's perspective on health care-related issues in Congress and the Administration.

At this year's event, scheduled for Sept. 14-15, you will have the opportunity discuss the potential impact of new regulations, including Pre-Claim; learn about the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing demonstration from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS); and hear the latest analysis on the impact of socioeconomic status on clinical and financial performance. I encourage you to join us in Washington, D.C., for this interactive meeting.

In addition, VNAA will coordinate and assist you with visits to your Members of Congress. This is an opportunity to share your challenges and concerns, as well as to thank them for their engagement this past year. Your Hill visits, echoing those of your colleagues, are vital in this hectic and divisive political year.

Thank you for your engagement and I look forward to seeing you in September.
