VNAA and Occu-Med Announce Partnership

Occu-Med, a nationally recognized leader in medical evaluations for employment, and the Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA), a nonprofit organization representing mission-driven home-based care organizations, today announced a new partnership that will provide VNAA members with access to Occu-Med’s evaluation services at discounted rates.

VNAA seeks to transform home-based care by advancing quality, value, and innovation. VNAA establishes best practices for quality improvement in home-based care, offers clinical procedures for home health and hospice providers, and demonstrates the value of care provided in the home through case studies and quantitative projects. In partnering with Occu-Med, VNAA seeks to support home-based care agency staffing needs.

Occu-Med provides pre-placement medical evaluations, return-to-work evaluations, immunizations, and periodic medical evaluations to ensure candidates are authentically ready for placement. Their proven track record is backed by an experienced team that has developed an exclusive evaluations program not replicated elsewhere in the occupational evaluation industry.

"Home-based care agencies, both stand-alone and systems-affiliated, have unique staffing needs and must address multiple challenges in recruiting and retaining staff. VNAA's partnership with Occu-Med is designed to provide a resource for agencies and support efforts to identify, recruit and retain qualified staff at all levels," said Tracey Moorhead, VNAA's President and CEO.

"With a mission of being the obvious choice for employers seeking quality medical evaluations for their applicants and employees, Occu-Med has compiled a lengthy and compelling record of assisting its clients in dramatically reducing the costs associated with worker injuries," said Jim Johnson, Occu-Med's founder and CEO.  He continued, "This Partnership with VNAA offers us the ability to package and deliver our service in a highly cost-effective manner leading to favorable pricing for the Association's members."

VNAA’s partnership with Occu-Med will further expand opportunities for VNAA member agencies across the country to take advantage of discounts to aid their organizations operationally.
